Professional Profile
Works with Students in Grades: | All Grades (K through 12) |
Educational Philosophies: | I believe each person is unique, created for a purpose with various strengths, interests and learning abilities. I believe children are a blessing from God (Psalm 127:3) and it is the parent's privilege and responsibility to "train up" their children (Proverbs 22:6). Christian education and training at home provides the opportunity to teach according to each child's unique gifts, abilities and learning styles, while incorporating Biblical wisdom and values. I believe students are more likely to be engaged in learning, and retain what they've learned if the educational materials and teaching strategies are relevant and appropriate. Therefore, I believe parental and student input is key to developing curriculum that not only includes ministry requirements, but is tailored according to the abilities, interests and passions of the student. |
Instructional Specialties: | I have a background in applied science (engineering), so I am comfortable with math and sciences. Since these areas are so diverse, I may need some time to "brush up" on certain topics before helping with specific questions. |
Areas I Do Not Cover: | For any students requiring additional help with second language courses, I recommend that you get local or online assistance where you can interact by voice. |
