Educational Philosophy:

I believe that education is about finding truth, beauty, and goodness in the world through all different subjects. I believe that no matter the curriculum, or whether a child is homeschooled or public schooled or anything in between, it is the job of the parents to train, teach, and discipline, and that teachers are coming alongside to support the whole family in that. I also believe that education is more than just the classroom, and education should cover the whole person, not just the mind.

Educational Interests:

I really enjoyed math in high school and came to appreciate the predictability and the rules. I also have a deep love for English, literature, and history, though I have much to learn. I love to read and to learn so any opportunity to do so is a privilege. I would also be interested in doing further study myself to grow in any of these areas.

Instructional Specialties

I am quite comfortable with elementary math, English and literature.  I also have a love of reading and of finding the perfect book for each child.
