|Works with Students in Grades:||Elementary Grades Only (K through 9)|
|Educational Philosophies:||The purpose of teaching is to educate students, equipping them to discover their God-given gifts as they seek their life's calling. Teaching is primarily a parent's responsibility. As parents teach curriculum, they instill key values in children such as stewardship, discernment, social justice, and an understanding of culture. My role is to complement the role of the parents, and to help families achieve their academic goals as they learn together. I want to see my students develop a lifelong appreciation for learning, and a curiosity, wonder, and awe for God's created universe.
Children need encouragement, direction, and discipline. They learn in various ways and styles, and have God-given gifts and talents that need to be developed. I encourage students to work within their dominant learning style, and to pursue their interests within the curriculum. I want to know the needs and preferences of a family, and will work together to find a plan that suits each family within the requirements of the DL program.
I enjoy learning alongside my families and appreciate the support and encouragement from the experienced staff at Pathways!
