Media Arts 10

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal interests and share traditions, perspectives, or stories through art. Students taking this course will explore the process of creating media art from image-making technology such as cameras, props, and lighting, while exploring their identity. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals.

Graphic Design

Taught by Jerry Stanley

Students will learn graphic design with a focus on image editing and print design. They will learn Photoshop style skills and techniques, vector graphics, image editing, and ethical and legal considerations when dealing with image use. 4 Credits
Musical Theatre 10

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal dramatic interests while participating in a musical theatre group. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Student taking this course must be involved in a local musical theatre and will explore the roles of performers, crew, and audiences.

Dance Company 10

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal interests while participating in a dance company. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Students taking this course must be involved in a local dance company and will explore rehearsal and performance processes while exploring how choreographic works to communicate ideas.

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal interests while growing as a dancer and choreographer. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Students taking this course must be involved in third-party lessons and will explore how the body is an instrument for artistic expression in dance.

Drama 10

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal interests while exploring and creating dramatic works to express ideas and emotions. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Students taking this course will actively participate in a drama production.

Theatre Company 10 In this individualized course students will pursue their personal dramatic interests while participating in a theatre group. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Student taking this course must be involved in a local theatre company, and will explore the process and production of live theatre. 4 Credits

Music

Choral Music 10

Students in this course can select from a variety of choral music activities that accommodate their interests and abilities. Students in this course should be involved in local choral music and are expected to participate in performances. Additionally students will complete written or verbal theory assignments to share their learning on music-related topics.

Students in this course can select from a variety of instrumental music activities that accommodate their interests and abilities. Students in this course are expected to participate in performances. Visual Arts

Art Studio 10

In this individualized course students will pursue their personal artistic interests using sensory inspiration, imagination, and inquiry. Resources will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and goals. Student taking this course will learn the principles of design and use a variety of visual image-making technology.

Photography 10 (Great Courses) Students will explore Photography 10 using lessons from the first half of Fundamentals of Photography. The lessons will provide instruction on skills and techniques. Students will then use the techniques to take photographs and improve their skills. Students will be encouraged to experiment to achieved the desired results, as well as to be patient with the design process. 4 Credits
Studio Arts 2D 10

Students in this course will select a variety of 2D artistic pursuits (drawing, painting, ink printing, etc) to explore that accommodate their interests and abilities. Students taking this course will learn the principles of design and will transform ideas and experiences into visual images. Student will complete theory assignments to share their learning on art related topics. Resources and third-party lessons will be will be carefully selected to meet the students needs and course goals.
